It is a half-day guided quad loop from Merzouga to the village of Khamlia and back along the Erg Chebbi dunes. You listen to local musicians, drink mint tea and see both rocky desert and sand. It costs €100 per quad.

Good to know
Erg Chebbi is one of only two large sand seas in Morocco, and its dunes rise up to 150 metres, according to Atlas Obscura. That height gives you a wide view over the desert.
Plan around the heat. AAA notes that from June to September, midday temperatures in Merzouga often reach about 46°C. In summer, we run rides early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
